Important Coronavirus Covid-19 Update

Oxford Garden Centre will reopen to the public from 10.00am Wednesday 13th May. We have implemented measures and working practices to maintain social distancing and personal safety, while providing as normal service as possible. In garden centre measures

Oxford Garden Centre is open to the public with restricted access to facilitate social distancing for staff and customers wherever possible. Until further notice we will be operating the new trading hours to allow adequate time for cleaning and staff to care for our plants.

  • Monday to Friday 10.00am – 4.30pm

  • Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm

Customers should note that our Café will remain CLOSED until further notice.

At the present time, we are operating with a slightly reduced team. While we are pleased to be operating at near to normal capacity, customers should expect slightly longer delivery lead times and we ask for patience when visiting while we restrict access to provide safe space for you and our staff.

A trolly and basket sanitising station has been setup at the entrance to the garden centre and hand sanitiser is available for customers. Perspex screens will be installed at our service counters while hand sanitiser and personal protective equipment have been provided for staff. Gloves and facemasks will be used where social distancing cannot be effectively maintained. We have intensified our cleaning regime for all areas of our business, including buildings, vehicles, and machinery.

Visitors to Oxford Garden Centre must adhere to the current Government Covid-19 guidance regarding safety and personal protective equipment. We reserve the right to refuse entry, and will ask individuals to leave, if we believe that they are not following social distancing and safety measures or if we feel that their conduct is putting customers and staff in danger.

Purchasing from Oxford Garden Centre

Customers can purchase from Oxford Garden Centre in the following ways.

  • Online with distance deliveries

  • In store

Only contactless and card payments will be accepted in-store until further notice. Please note that our home delivery service is only available for online orders at the current time.

Staff safety

Staff have been fully briefed and involved in the new safety measures implemented at Oxford Garden Centre. Staff have been issued with protective gloves, face masks, and hand sanitiser has been provided. Our cleaning regime has been reviewed and increased where necessary in accordance with current Government advice.

Customer safety

When visiting Oxford Garden Centre, customers are required to follow all current Government safety, distancing, and personal protective equipment guidelines. Hand sanitiser and trolly cleaning stations are provided for customers. Our staff will practice social distancing wherever possible and protective equipment has been provided to them. We are operating “distance deliveries” and signatures will not be required for goods.

Ordering from our website

Customers can order from our website from 7am Monday to 7pm Wednesday each week. Our home delivery service is operating normally with an average lead time of 5-7 days. If customers wish to leave instructions for their delivery, they can do so by using the “comments” field when placing their order. Customer deliveries

We are operating “distance deliveries”, customers are not required to have any contact with our drivers. Customers will be contacted prior to their delivery and orders will left in a safe place at or in front of their address. Signatures will not be required for goods.

Our delivery drivers have been issued with protective gloves, face masks and hand sanitiser for their own safety and that of our customers. While we have taken appropriate steps to minimise customer contact, if our drivers do meet customers or the public while carrying out their duties, they will maintain social distancing.

If our drivers feel they cannot make a delivery, due to safety or social distancing concerns, we reserve the right to abort the delivery. In this event, customers will be contacted to make appropriate alternative delivery arrangements.
